CLOUD DATA STORAGE PROCESS

To fully understand cloud storage, it is essential to first grasp the foundations of cloud computing. Cloud computing can be described as a network of remote data centers accessible via the internet. It operates on the concept of virtualization, which forms the basis for creating virtual machines.

Virtualization allows a single machine to be divided into multiple smaller units, each functioning as a separate entity with its own operating system. This division of resources—memory, processing power, and storage—enables efficient sharing and access to computing resources by connected devices and third-party applications within the cloud network.

Cloud storage, on the other hand, involves at least one data server that users connect to over the internet. Users can manually or automatically upload files to the data server, which subsequently distributes the information across multiple servers for redundancy and reliability. This allows for secure storage and ensures data is accessible through a web-based interface, providing convenience and flexibility for users to manage their files from anywhere.
